Dear European volunteer,

Welcome in Belgium!

  • Are you looking forward to meet other volunteers?
  • Ready to explore intercultural and non-formal learning?
  • Questions about your volunteering life or your project in Belgium?
  • Curiosity about Belgium and the Belgian lifestyle?

On the on-arrival training (27  September - 2 October 2021) you’ll find the answers! You'll learn about the framework of being a volunteer in Belgium and reflect on your learning needs for your own project. Register below to make sure you have a spot on this training. If you can't wait to meet other volunteers already, feel free to join the Corps volunteers community in Belgium on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/escvolunteersbelgium

This training is for European youngsters that have arrived in Belgium between 11th of June and 12th of September. If you arrive later than the 12th of September, you are very welcome on our on-arrival training in October (18-23).

This on-arrival training is obligatory for all ESC volunteers coming to Belgium for more than 2 months:

We organize this training with a Covid Safe principle. In order to participate in our trainings, participants must be able to demonstrate that they are fully vaccinated, have taken a negative PCR test 48 hours before the start of the training or are in possession of a recovery certificate. All costs related to PCR testing are 100% refunded after the training.

For the volunteers who choose not to follow a residential training, a digital training will be organized in November.

We require a minimum of 2 full weeks in Belgium to take part in this training. If you're less than 2 weeks here, you can subscribe for another training in October.

This training is happening residential. There will be two trainings simultaneously on different locations. Both of them with a group not larger than 25 people. You will be notified to which training you'll have to go, after 12 September. You will go to the same training, together with the other volunteers of your project.

It will happen online (on Zoom) if we're unable to organize it residential. You'll get notified 10 days before the start of the training if this change occurs. We're following the National Guidelines on Youth Work to make this training happening.

Registrations open at the beginning of August and close on 12 September. Once you are registered you'll receive an e-mail 2 weeks in advance of the training with more details about the training.

Should you or your organisation have any question, please write them in the subscription form or send an email to

We're looking forward meet you!

Greetings from the on-arrival team.
