Dear European volunteer,

Welcome in Belgium!

  • Are you looking forward to meet other European volunteers?
  • Ready to explore intercultural and non-formal learning?
  • Questions about your volunteering life or your project in Belgium?

On the on-arrival training ( 26 - 31 October 2020) you’ll find the answers! You'll learn about the framework of being a volunteer in Belgium and reflect on your learning needs for your own project. If you can't wait to meet other volunteers already, feel free to join the Corps volunteers community in Belgium on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/escvolunteersbelgium

You'll receive an e-mail with more details about the venue, starting time and what to bring 3 weeks in advance of the training. We are doing everything possible to organize this training residential. To make it COVID-proof we will have to follow some rules and guidelines, please respect them. The training will be confirmed the latest 10 days before, if we are allowed by the Belgian government to organize trainings you'll be expected in Hanenbos in Dworp. If it is not possible to organize the training residential, due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions, it will happen online during the same period.

If you prefer a digital training than a residential one, due to safety, health, the target group you volunteer with or any other reason. Please tick the box below. If there is a large group of people requesting a digital training, it will be organized digital for that group. Those that prefer a residential training will still be very much welcome to come to Hanenbos (if we are allowed by the Belgian National Security Council).

Should you or your organisation have any question, please write them in the subscription form or send an email to

We're looking forward meet you!

Greetings from the on-arrival team,
Nele, Natasha, Pieter-Jan, Joke, Anne, Pepijn, Jeroen, Valérie, Barbara & Thomas
